We are eternally grateful to you for helping us achieve our dream of having a baby. After 4 years of unsuccessfully trying to conceive, we discovered Absolute Holistic Medicine. Within the first week of our initial meeting, you identified a hormonal imbalance causing my temperature to drop immediately following ovulation, resulting in the inability to get pregnant. (This was the reason that previous Chlomid treatments had not worked. And by the way, this temperature fluctuation went undetected by a popular and well-respected fertility specialist.)

 

It took 4 months of diligence, between my weekly acupuncture treatments and our daily herbal tea regimen, but we are finally pregnant with a little girl! I was trying to get pregnant for over a year. I took all natural approach and was preparing my body for the healthy pregnancy and delivery. I have done whole body cleansing and detox, fasting, yoga and special diet. Although everything I did was great for my body and prepared me well, there was something missing. I still had some hormonal and endocrine system imbalances. It felt like something was missing, like there was an energy block of some sort. So I decided to also try acupuncture. I searched for a good acupuncturist and liked Dr. Bai's biography and experience.

 

When I cam to Dr. Bai, I knew I was in the right place. Right away she was able to tell me what was wrong with me and why I was not able to get pregnant. She knew exactly which points to stimulate and what herbs to use. Six visits later (2 months) I was pregnant. She was the first one to find out. I called her first thing in the morning on Monday screaming that it worked. A bit later she was to help me with some fatigue and some morning sickness as well as giving me great advices over the phone to insure that I have a healthy pregnancy. Thank you Dr. Bai for helping me conceive naturally after struggling with infertility for many years. I suffer from PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), my main symptom being anovulation. In the past, I considered myself lucky to ovulate twice a year. I wanted to try to get pregnant naturally before trying expensive and invasive hormone drugs and treatments.

 

Dr. Bai suggested I chart my temperatures daily, cut out dairy and eat healthier foods (more vegetables and less refined carbs). I saw her weekly for very relaxing and painless acupuncture treatments. At each session she would ask me questions, check my pulse and tongue, etc. and prescribe my weekly herbs. After facing fertility issues for several years, I was getting worn down—not only by the seemingly endless frustration, but also by how methodical and procedural something I thought was supposed to be so joyful had become. I finally reached a point where I was tired of the treatments and how they were making me feel physically and emotionally. I felt like I had exhausted just about all of my options in traditional medicine, and I also sensed that my body really needed a break from everything. I had read things here and there about acupuncture and Traditional Chinese medicine, but because I was completely unfamiliar with it, I didn’t pursue it for some time. It wasn’t until I read the book The Infertility Cure by Randine Lewis that I figured that I might as well give it a chance. So, I did some research online and decided to set up a visit with Dr. Bai.

 

Walking into her office for the first visit, I was very nervous. Everything Dr. Bai spoke of was so unfamiliar to me. But, for the first time in a long time, I actually felt like there was truly hope for me. And, instinctually, I trusted her completely. The acupuncture, herbs, and other suggestions from Dr. Bai were completely new concepts for me. But, instead of doing what I normally would do—researching the details of everything endlessly—I decided to go into this experience with complete faith. I saw Dr. Bai regularly for months, and followed every suggestion she made—even the ones that seemed so strange to me. (We certainly had some good laughs over those things!) It didn't take long for me to notice significant changes in my overall health and well-being. It was definitely challenging, and took a lot of persistence, but after 4 months of treatment I was surprised and thrilled to learn that I was finally pregnant!

 

Now, during this very healthy pregnancy I continue to work with Dr. Bai to ensure that my body and my mind are in the condition they need to be to carry and deliver a healthy baby. I look forward to each and every visit. Dr. Bai also referred me to a wonderful counselor who has helped me deal with all of the emotional challenges I've had to face over the last few years. While I truly believe that pregnancy is a miraculous event that isn't really in our control, I do know that I wouldn't be where I am today without the help of Dr. Bai. I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder while in college and worked with a psychiatrist to find methods of dealing with my anxiety that didn't involve taking drugs for the rest of my life. On the whole, this has been very effective for my day-to-day life. Now years later, I've been working with a reproductive specialist (an OB/GYN) to try to get pregnant. After a battery of tests checking my body, my doctor felt that it was actually my anxiety and stress levels that might be my primary hurdle in getting pregnant. I believe that it was truly a blessing for me to have the opportunity to come under the care of Dr. Bai. I was referred by a friend who had recently seen Dr. Bai for a similar problem (of infertility). Last year, I was diagnosed with bilateral tubal blockage...and subsequently told that my only hope for conceiving would be to undergo an in vitro fertilization procedure. In my haste to get started on the road to motherhood, I underwent IVF without taking the time to prepare myself with acupuncture as I had been advised by Dr. Bai and my friend who referred me. Needless to say, that attempt was unsuccessful. I was determined to have a baby, and decided I would dedicate myself to the procedure and full preparation. I began seeing Dr. Bai approximately 3 months before my IVF cycle. It was phenomenal the difference I felt as far as relaxation and mental well-being. My husband and I tried to get pregnant for 3 years. My doctors determined that I had elevated FSH levels and I never produced enough follicles to be a candidate for IVF. After many attempts with various fertility treatments my doctor told me there was no hope and that we should consider adoption or an egg donor. It is amazing to look at our nine month old daughter and to think that we were told that I would never be able to get pregnant. It is a miracle!
